According to a Financial Times article written by James Politi, the median income for US households is at its lowest levels since 1995. I'm sure the Romney campaign will used this to point to the fact that President Obama's policies have failed the middle class. The Obama administration continues to blame the Bush Administration. Things were bad when Obama took office and anyone who is interested in telling the truth will agree with that statement. We must also agree that the policies implemented by this administration has not made the financial condition of the middle class any better since the President took office. The scripture teaches that every person will be rewarded according to their own effort. Opportunity to create a better station in life is available for the majority of Americans. The question becomes will individuals develop the value systems that allow them to capitalize on the opportunities presented. At some point in time in our lives each of us has appreciated a hand up more than a hand out. Do you think we have created a culture in this nation that lends itself to creating a hand out more than a hand up? What do you see as the difference between the two?
